FLOW is a 6 week programme for 18-25 year olds. The programme is centred around three pathways: Nature, Self and Skills which are reflective of the 3 levels of the Sustainable Development Goals ‘Wedding Cake’ (Biosphere, Society and Economy) and the three pillars of Education for Sustainability Development. It is designed to promote participant’s personal development and wellbeing by connecting to nature, learning new crafts and skills and exploring self. By nurturing individual’s soft skills and wellbeing, this programme aims to combat social isolation and encourage participants towards the labour markets, schemes and/or community groups while also contributing towards supporting communities in climate action and the just transition.

The proposed outcomes are increased self-esteem, improved wellbeing connection to community and to local environment and engagement with further education and employment. Broadening participant’s perspectives on their own capacities through new skill exploration. I believe that the young people that you are working with could benefit greatly from this programme, especially during the darker months of November and December when getting outside can prove more daunting.
